We can all appreciate a good news story these days and that is why we’d like to celebrate one of our electricians Jordan. Recently Jordan successfully completed his COMPEX Electrician course, passing both Gas & Vapour as well as Dust modules. Successful completion of these modules mean that Jordan receives an industry wide recognised certificate of competency validation allowing him to install, maintain and inspect electrical instrumental systems in a flammable gas, vapour, mist or combustible dust environment. More importantly this allows him to ultimately work safely in explosive environments.

Jordan began his journey as Kigtek Electricals first apprentice and the team are delighted to have seen him progress over the years. He now joins all our other qualified electricians in holding the COMPEX certification, and we are delighted to have several more members of the team working to achieve their certification.

Jordan commented

” I am delighted to have passed the COMPEX course as it has given me a more in depth knowledge of the filed we work in. Now that I have passed this milestone in my training I can now progress onto the next stage which will be achieving my Approved Electrician grade. 

Being the first apprentice at Kigtek I feel I have come a long way since the beginning, it is amazing to think it all started with a pre-apprenticeship course and the work I have put in has got me this far. I still have a lot of work to achieve the next step of my training however I look forward to what is ahead.”
