We’d like to say a big well done to Alan, Adam, David and Dale for achieving their certification in Confined Space Training (Medium Risk). Kigtek work on a diverse range of projects each with their own health and safety requirements, so it is imperative we keep our team up to date on relevant training to keep everyone on site safe.
The course covered areas such as regulations, hazards and risks, accident and emergency procedures along with associated equipment and apparatus. Adam found the course particularly interesting as it highlighted the dangers of confined spaces that aren’t necessarily obvious or ‘common sense’ and illustrated the procedures that need to be put in place before even considering entering a confined space.
The team also enjoyed some practical elements to the course which involved using specialised lifting equipment to complete a simulated rescue. Thank you to the organisers Bridge End Training for arranging a very informative and important training session and well done to the team for your excellent results.
