Kigtek were delighted to be Bronze Sponsors of the World Distilled Spirits Conference 2021 which, after many postponements, was moved to a virtual platform to ensure the safest way to continue to reach the international audience the event is renowned for.

Well done to our very own Gordon Fleming and Roy Burns for their presentations at the event. Roy delved into Big Data and Cask Management, highlighting how capturing data within the cask filling process can lead to better management of cask assets and enhanced cask performance. Roy’s presentation, along with some great questions, ended with some interesting discussions on cask forecasting possibilities and where data could be extracted from in the future.

Gordon’s presentation of Accelerated Manufacturing Using Digital Twin Technology talked us through the process of developing a digital twin for new product/plant development. The talk led to some great debates on the challenges of adopting these processes against the potential they bring to the future of the industry.
